Family is an important part of life in Latin America and Spain. More so than in other western cultures like the United States. So today, we will be learning all about the family unit. You can use these words to combine what grammar you have already learnt, to begin creating really useful sentences.

Novio/ Novia : boyfriend/girlfriend

Nieto/ Nieta : grandson/granddaughter

Tio/Tia : uncle/auntie

Sobrino/Sobrina : nephew/niece

Primo/Prima : male cousin/female cousin

Hermano/Hermana : brother/sister

Hijo/Hija : son/daughter

Padre/Madre : father/mother
